About Outboards
A 9.8 hp outboard engine is suitable for small to medium dinghies, such as:
1.Inflatable Dinghies: Around 3.0 to 4.0 meters long, these boats can easily handle a 9.8 hp engine.
2. Rigid Hull Inflatable Boats (RHIBs): Small RHIBs (3.0 to 3.5 meters) are ideal for this engine size.
3. Fiberglass Dinghies: Dinghies around 3.5 to 4.0 meters work well with a 9.8 hp engine.
4. Jon Boats: Small jon boats (3.5 to 4.5 meters) are compatible with this engine for shallow water use.
5. Car-top Dinghies: Compact dinghies (2.5 to 3.5 meters) designed for easy transport can also match a 9.8 hp engine.
When choosing a dinghy, make sure it can handle the weight of the engine and passengers, and that it's rated for the engine's power.
