Attention when using the outboard for the first time :

1. Check if the air valve on the built-in and external fuel tank is open.

2. Ensure the external fuel line is correctly connected to the motor.

3. Verify that the fuel switch is in the "on" position.

4. Confirm that the emergency switch lanyard is securely inserted into the slot.

5. After mixing the fuel, shake the tank to ensure proper blending (note: refuel away from fire sources).

6. Make sure the gear is in neutral before starting the engine.

7. Connect the fuel line to the engine, then pump the bulb 3-5 times while ensuring the arrow on the pump points toward the engine.

8. Open the choke slightly and apply a bit of throttle to start; after starting, immediately turn off the choke and let the engine idle for 3-5 minutes to warm up.

9. When not in use, lift the motor out of the water; lower it again when ready to use.

10. If planning to store the outboard for a long time, run the fuel out to avoid issues later.
