After test driving, you may find that the height of the outboard crossbeam is not appropriate and want to raise the engine for better performance and fuel efficiency.
Fortunately, the height of the outboard motor can be easily adjusted by simply switching the mounting holes.
Usually, the outboard motor is equipped with a clamping bracket, which allows you to adjust the height of the outboard motor to a height higher than the standard. There are a series of four to six holes with a spacing of 0.75 inches.
Otherwise, you can use a jack plate to fine tune the installation height outside the ship.
Tips: Elevators (engine hoists) can save a lot of work, especially when you have a heavy-duty engine.
There are many video tutorials on adjusting the installation height outside the ship. Click to view the steps to adjust the height setting of the Suzuki outboard engine using a picker.
