How to start the engine

Step 1: After unpacking, attach the throttle grip to the steering handle (if the throttle grip is separate), ensuring the red arrow aligns with the corresponding symbol on the handle.

Step 2: Insert the red engine shut-off switch lanyard into its designated slot.

Step 3: For 4-stroke engines, add the recommended amount of oil (see the owner's manual) and tighten the oil filler cap securely.

Step 4: Fill the fuel tank with gasoline (for 2-stroke engines, use a fuel-oil mixture as per the owner's manual). Don't forget to loosen the air vent screw on the fuel tank cap.

Step 5: For models with external fuel tanks, connect the fuel line to the engine's fuel joint.

Step 6: If the model has an internal fuel tank, turn the fuel valve to the "on" position.

Step 7: Pull out the choke lever to prepare the engine for starting.

Step 8: Set the throttle to about one-third of its maximum position.

Step 9: Pull the starter rope to crank the engine.

Step 10: Once the engine starts, push the choke lever back to its original position.
